Watch the Recording: SOS-Water & STARS4Water Joint Policy Event

The event brought together representatives from the European Commission, river basin organisations, policymakers, researchers and water practitioners to discuss how scientific knowledge can better support the implementation of the European Water Resilience Strategy.

Throughout the event, speakers explored topics including the Safe Operating Space for Water, Earth Observation, decision-support tools, transboundary river basin management and the importance of strengthening the science-policy interface. A recurring message was that Europe already has a strong scientific foundation—now the priority is ensuring that research findings are translated into practical solutions for water managers and decision-makers.
